- Learn practical tips for surgery and office care of children with congenital anomalies.
Description
This precourse on the care of the child with a congenital anomaly is designed to review five common topics in congenital hand surgery and to provide practice pearls from experienced providers. The format provides a 25- minute review of syndactyly, hypoplastic thumb, radial longitudinal deficiency, radial polydactyly, and Madelungs deformity. For each topic, there is a review of the literature with an update, a video or photographic review of a common surgical technique by an experienced surgeon, and a debate on a controversial issue for each topic. The course concludes with a session on congenital practice pearls, a discussion designed to share meaningful office and surgical tips from “Masters” in the field.
