- Practice surgical techniques of vascularized bone grafting for scaphoid nonunion.
- Apply surgical techniques of scapholunate ligament reconstruction.
- Demonstrate surgical techniques of hamate autograft reconstruction of the PIP joint.
- Practice surgical techniques of open TFCC repair.
Description
This course on wrist and hand reconstruction presents a unique educational opportunity. Participants will see a live prosection of cutting edge surgical procedures of the wrist and hand performed by a senior faculty member who has described or published on the technique. During this demonstration, focused questions will be posed by the moderator and audience emphasizing technical pearls and decision making strategies. Procedures to be covered include: (1) Vascularized Bone Grafting; (2) Scapho-lunate Instability; (3) PIP Reconstruction with Hemi-Hamate Autograft; and (4) TFCC Reconstruction for DRUJ Instability.
